The Ernst Freiberger Foundation conceives of itself as a bridge between science and academic research on the one hand and society on the other. Erecting Monuments
By erecting monuments on the “Road of Recollection”, situated right in the centre of Berlin along the River Spree, the Ernst Freiberger Foundation pays homage to a row of outstanding personalities. These are individuals who, mainly in the first half of the twentieth century, have excelled in the fields of science, culture and politics and who have stood up for freedom and human dignity in a unique and courageous way.

The Sunflower Meeting Point
“Love of life in old age” is the motto of this social centre in the Spree-Bogen in Berlin-Moabit. It is a venue for the elderly and lonely where they can meet other people and engage in cultural as well as artistic/creative activities. The aim is to enhance the quality of life in old age.
